World: A comic book I made when 12 years old
Here is a cover and just a few pages of an old comic book that I made 20 years ago. I recently found it in an old box. The comic book is grim and violent. Very angst ridden – and I thought I was a happy young person. World, presumably is the anti hero of this tale, but there is very little character development. Who is World, what makes him tick?
There were lots of big slash pages and little background detail. A pretty poor understanding of anatomy in the characters as well. Little depth in the art. The die-cut cover is a throwback to the 1990′s boom.
Overall I like the young Shawn’s ambition creating the book, but that is about it! Mmm.
